In tumultuous times like these, we are reminded of how important the study and – critically – the comprehension of history is. While in an ideal world, historical resources would be free for all to use, running a collaborative service like ClioVis is far from free.

So, moving forward, we are increasing our subscription prices for both individuals and groups. Our revenue will go towards paying our team a fair wage as well as paying for the server and data hosting costs associated with a rich platform like ClioVis.

We hope that ClioVis continues to bring value to all our users as we improve the software, and your support is necessary for us do so!
Things to Know
  • All ClioVis subscriptions created after 7/21/2022 will use the new pricing model.
  • If you have any ClioVis subscriptions that were active before 7/21/2022, the price of your subscriptions will not change unless you cancel your subscription and resubscribe after 7/21/2022.

Pricing FAQs

Think of a Project as a workspace where you can collaborate on Timelines with anyone who has been invited. Upgrade a Project to allow users who haven’t purchased a Premium subscription to join.

The number of free users that an Upgraded Project can have depends on its Tier. And you can downgrade a Project at any time, in which case you no longer have to pay for it but the free members of the Project would lose access (but no work would be lost).

Upgrading a Project also removes the 20 Event limit in all of the Project’s Timelines.

Once you create a ClioVis account and log in you’ll be able to create Projects and choose your pricing plan for those Projects.

Yes, you also have the option to pay $34.99 for 6 months, or $64.99 for 1 year.

An enterprise license would enable instructors to have multiple Projects for various assignments in many different courses. We can work with you to make sure you can use ClioVis! Email us at erika@cliovis.com

We don’t currently offer any refunds. Although you can cancel your subscription or downgrade a Project at any time, in which case you will not be charged during the following billing cycles, your premium access will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.
