The ClioVis Syllabus Generator streamlines the process of creating and updating course syllabi. With just a few inputs, instructors can generate a ready-to-use syllabus for the semester, saving valuable preparation time.
Start by launching the Syllabus Generator and entering your course’s basic information. Select your teaching days (M/W/F, T/Th, or M–F), class time, and the semester’s start and end dates and click continue. Then add your daily lesson plans—either by copying and pasting material from past syllabi or writing new ones directly in the form.
The tool allows you to include essential sections such as the course description, policies, grading and assessment, or university guidelines. Once completed, you can export the syllabus as a Word document for further customization, including images, links, or formatting. Each semester, you can quickly update your syllabus by adjusting dates or revising daily plans.
Be sure to export syllabus data (using the button next to the Word export). This downloads the data file for long-term storage and makes it easy to re-import in the future—simply click Load and then Import from File. For formatting within the generator, you can bold or italicize text by wrapping it in or tags.
With just a few steps, you can build, update, and store syllabi for future semesters—freeing up more time to focus on teaching and engaging with students. And, at ClioVis, your IP is your IP.
